Climate change and health

Climate change affects us all. Heat waves particularly affect people with cardiovascular diseases and change the effect of medication. Ticks and mosquitoes migrate with the heat and bring pathogens with them. The allergy season is getting longer because the pollen is flying for longer due to global warming.

Intermediate goal achieved

As a health center with a focus on naturopathy, climate protection is a matter of course for us. For example, we have been generating electricity using a photovoltaic system since 2016. Our lighting has long since been converted to LED.

Both reduce our carbon footprint. This is an important step in holistic climate protection. However, some CO2 emissions cannot be avoided. That is why we have now offset these with Climate Partner.

The climate protection project

The compensation payments for our CO2 emissions go into a combined project for renewable energies and marine protection. This means that we support the expansion of solar and wind power plants.

On the other hand, the PlasticBank initiative collects 10 kg of plastic from the sea for every ton of CO2 that we offset. In our case, that is around 23.5 kg, because we have offset 23,540 kg of CO2.
